Wickham Valley Walk

22nd February 2025

Last Saturday one of our volunteer walk leaders, Katie, co-led a walk with Toby from environmental charity @thames21.

The focus of the talk was water.

Katie told us about the vital role Oxleas Woodlands plays in our domestic water supply, whilst Toby led us along the uppermost stream of the Wickham Valley and talked about their project extending the length of the valley to the Thames.

One of our aims is Education, we hope the 25 people on this walk learnt something and feel a greater affinity to our wonderful, unique and precious space.
