FOW Events
The Friends of Oxleas Woodlands organises guided themed walks throughout the year, has exclusive talks for members and holds special activities days to celebrate the woodlands.
Severndroog Castle is an elegantly preserved gothic tower located within Oxleas Woodlands. It has a tearoom and regular events. Find about What's On at Severndroog on their website severndroogcastle.org.uk/whats-on/
Members' Meetings
Members' Meetings are held at Shrewsbury House Community Centre, Bushmoor Crescent, London SE18 3EG, 7:30pm - 8:30pm
They are followed by an exclusive talk by a guest speaker.

All our walks are free to attend, but we welcome donations to help with the administration costs of running FOW. Walks are advertised to members in the newsletter before being advertised on social media. Find them first on Eventbrite here.

Winter Family Explorer
Sunday 22nd March 2026, 10:15am - noon
Inspire children with the beauty of nature, from the giant trees to the tiny insects in the woods near Severndroog Castle.
Families with primary-aged children (5-10 years old) are invited to join Sue to explore the woods around Severndroog Castle.
Through lots of fun sensory games and activities the colours, smells and sounds will be brought to life helping us to discover the amazing variety of plants and animals at this time of year.
Booking is essential for all walks.
